America votes, Big Apple style:
A very intense woman who really, really gets community organizing:
And a really long-winded hip-hop Republican (is there any other kind?)
I love America

I totally agree and that is why we own our votes even though others in leadership positions , will aim to take them away as they see fit. Our forefathers faught and died to give us this freedom and that is what the USA means but greed and power has blinded many leaders in their responsiblity to those they claim to serve.
Off topic, I truly enjoy your blog!!
nomorednc, intellectually we know that there are many people with different points of view than ours, but it’s always eye-opening to see them with your own eyes. Maybe I’m just an old sentimental softie at heart, but I think it’s really cool to see that people feel free to speak their minds. Even the ones I think are nuts.
I truly enjoyed the last 2 videos. The first one shows how uninformed young american voters are for a position as important as the president of the usa. On the second video about community organizer comments by Palin the lady miss the point Palin was addressing. Obama and his supporters states that he is qualified to be president because he was a communtiy organizer, OK with that..not..but they claim Palin was not qualified to be VP because she was just a mayor, even though at this time she is a governor. So, again Obama supporters miss interpet Palin’s comments.
The HipHop Republican, I found him very intelligent in every respect. On Katrina, Bush, like he said, has been an incompetent leader in most areas, the governor and mayor both democrats at that time were also incompetent. The issues and values e close to his beliefs are more intuned to the republican doctrine. What people forget is that each party is made up of infalible people. The republicans are labled racist, which in itself is not true and the democrats are for the minorities which also is not true. The republicans decades ago were responsible for freeing the slaves and the democrats took the black americans for granted, except for Bill Clinton. Black Americans need to inflitrate both parties and demand fair representation, until that happens both parties will continue to use us as they see fit.
